New Electives for the Health Innovation Specialization

The Health Innovation Specialization, part of Nova SBE’s Master in Impact Entrepreneurship and Innovation (MIEI), has introduced two new electives to its curriculum. This pilot initiative, powered by HealthEConnect, continues to evolve to meet the needs of students and the health innovation landscape.

The addition of these electives is the result of a collaborative co-creation process between Nova School of Business and Economics (NSBE) and Nova Medical School (NMS). Insights from the inaugural cohort of the Specialization played a pivotal role in shaping the updated program, ensuring it remains cutting-edge and student-focused.

Starting this Spring semester, students pursuing the Health Innovation Specialization will have the opportunity to tailor their studies with a choice of one of the following electives:

–          Aging (offered by NMS)

–          Life Cycle Nutrition (offered by NMS)

–          Economics of Health and Health Care (offered by NSBE)

–          Economics of Health Systems (offered by NSBE)

These electives aim to deepen students’ understanding of critical health topics while equipping them with the skills to address pressing challenges in health systems and beyond.
