Reflecting on Impact: HealthEConnect Meets with EIT Health at Final Consortium Meeting

Over two vibrant days on July 9 & 10, the HealthEConnect consortium gathered at NOVA Medical School, at their new Carcavelos (Portugal) facilities, to mark an important milestone: the final consortium meeting. This event wasn’t just a wrap-up — it was a celebration of everything we’ve built together and an opportunity to set the stage for what’s next.

The meeting included a dedicated session with EIT Health representatives, where we had the opportunity to present the latest results of the HealthEConnect initiative and reflect on our journey so far. From boosting student engagement and empowering future health innovators, to building new partnerships across Europe, the project has become a powerful bridge between innovation, entrepreneurship, and education in the health sector.

During the sessions, consortium members and stakeholders:

  • Reflected on the project’s achievements
  • Shared key results, lessons learned, and best practices
  • Explored future collaboration and scale-up opportunities

The dialogue with EIT Health brought valuable feedback and underlined the strong alignment between our goals and broader European health innovation strategies. Together, we reaffirmed our shared commitment to strengthening the talent pipeline and shaping a robust and inclusive healthcare ecosystem across Europe.

We are deeply grateful to NOVA Medical School (PT) and to NOVA SBE (PT) for their continued guidance throughout the project. This meeting was a testament to the power of collaborative European action — and a reminder of the momentum we’ve built, in a project that brought closer Lisbon and Denmark health innovation ecosystems through its strong partnership, by joining the Copenhagen Business School (DK), Patient Innovation (PT), the BioInnovation Institute (DK) and Startup Europe Regions Network (BE).

As we close this phase of the journey, we remain focused on continuity, sustainability, and impact. The connections formed, knowledge exchanged, and results achieved are just the beginning.

Stay tuned — HealthEConnect’s journey continues.
